Dust to Dust is a canvas-based particle simulation illustrating the concepts of conservation of matter, impermanence, and rebirth. White particles on a dark cosmic background dynamically morph between abstract representations of a tree, a dog, and a person.

The application includes an autoplay feature as well as an interactive timeline slider, allowing users to scrub back and forth to witness matter form, dissolve, and reform across a cyclical timeline.
